CRITICAL: What You Need to Know Before Your Appointment

Because key programming involves deeply accessing your vehicle's anti-theft and security modules, there are a few strict rules we must follow to ensure the process works:

  1. For Smart Keys (Push-to-Start): You must bring any key you currently possess to the appointment, regardless of whether it is currently working or completely dead.

  2. For Non-Smart Keys (Turn-to-Start Transponders): You must bring ALL existing keys you have for the vehicle. When we program a traditional chipped key, the vehicle's computer often requires us to clear the entire system and re-sync every key at the exact same time. If you leave a spare key at home, it will likely be erased by the computer and will no longer start the car!

  3. The Vehicle Must Be Functional: Key programming requires a stable flow of voltage and clear communication through the computer network. In order for us to successfully program a key, your vehicle must have a [healthy vehicle battery], and there can be no underlying electrical failures preventing the anti-theft module from communicating.
